#2 Sneaky Bias In Grading Performance
Irene is our fictitious choral director. When selecting students for the solos in her choral pieces she holds auditions. When you attend Irene’s choral concert you start to notice something interesting. All of soloists sound the same. They have same level of skill and timbre. An adjudicator at District Festival mentioned the female students selected to perform sounded much too mature for their age. What conclusions can we make from this?
